Online videos brought to life the IKEA manuals, making it easier to pause and look at each step of the construction process from any web enabled device. It qualmed consumer fears to build bigger items and took thousands of hits within the first few months. Facebook launched "How-To-Tuesdays" promoting a different product each week with yet another simplified assembly video.
